Choosing the Right Projector

LCD projectors are self contained projector. LCD projectors have high intensity light source and are available in different sizes and specifications. It is difficult to choose the right LCD projector, so it is necessary to do a little research before purchasing or doing LCD projector rental.

There are many types of projector available in the market. One type is a projector called DLP projector. DLP means Digital Light Processing. This type of projector process light differently with LCD projectors, so it is best to study first which type of projector suites you best. LCD projectors display much brighter light than DLP models. However DLP models have a longer lifespan than LCD. So it is not wise to buy LCD projector. It is wiser to just have a LCD projector rental because it is much cheaper and very compatible with laptop notebook computer. You can only use LCD projectors 10 hours tops every day. If you use it more than 10 hours it will lose image quality because it produces more heat generated from its light. If you are planning to use projector much longer than 10 hours per day, better use DLP projector rather than LCD. With that said, an LCD projector has its advantage and disadvantages.

To ensure your LCD projectors much longer lifespan, you should always clean its filter. You can either hire an expert to do it or clean it yourself but make sure you know what you are doing. The projector has its sponge like filter that needs to be blown with canned air or in some instances wash it with water and dry it. If you don’t clean the filter then you your LCD projector will have a shorter than normal life expectancy due to overheating.
